Mrs. Vasiliki Michopoulou, the Science Communication Manager of Boost4Bio, has been selected to participate with a fellowship in the Kavli Prize Week 2024 (the award ceremony included). Remarkably, she is the only Greek science journalist ever to achieve this honor, and the only European recipient of a fellowship this year! The event took place from 31st August to 3rd September in Oslo.
The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters announced the 2024 Kavli Prize Laureates last June in the fields of astrophysics, nanoscience, and neuroscience. This year, eight outstanding scientists were recognized for their fundamental research that propels the world forward. Each laureate in these fields will share a $1 million prize.
The Kavli Prize is comparable to the Nobel Prize in the fields of astrophysics, neuroscience, and nanoscience. A key distinction is that while the Nobel Prize is awarded for achievements made “during the preceding year,” the Kavli Prize honors achievements regardless of when they were made.
Boost4Bio would like to congratulate Mrs. Michopoulou on this prestigious achievement and her invaluable contribution to science communication.
